Packing houses, cold storage and ag shops
Porterville is citrus country, and the groves come with packing houses, cold storage, equipment shops and barns. Most of those buildings have metal roofs or big low-slope roofs, and they share two problems: leaks at fasteners and seams as metal panels move with the heat, and a lot of heat coming through the roof into the building below.
- Spray foam over metal: on a sound metal roof, foam covers the fasteners and seams in one continuous layer and adds insulation on top of the roof.
- Roof coatings: a white Mule-Hide silicone or acrylic coating protects the foam and reflects the sun. Depending on the system, a coating can last in some cases up to 20 years.
- TPO roofing: white single-ply roofs for flat sections, offices and newer warehouse buildings.
- Commercial roof repair: leaks, split seams and failed flashing, with emergency tarping to help limit damage until the repair can be made.
If your busy season is the citrus harvest, tell us, and we will plan the timing of the roof work with you.
Downtown and commercial buildings
Older downtown buildings, retail centers, offices and churches around Porterville often have flat roofs with parapet walls and scuppers that collect debris. We restore those roofs with coatings or foam when the roof underneath is sound, replace them when it is not, and offer maintenance plans so the drains and flashing get checked on a schedule. See our commercial roofing page.

Homes in Porterville and the foothills
From older homes in town to newer subdivisions and foothill homes out toward Springville, we do roof replacements and roof repairs. Shingle products we install include GAF, Owens Corning and Malarkey, installed to the manufacturer's high-wind specifications, and a typical home re-roof takes about three days. We also repair tile and do tile lift-and-relay with new underlayment, put TPO or a coating on flat sections of houses, flash around swamp coolers and close up the opening when a cooler comes out. If a storm damaged your roof, we can help with your insurance claim. Our crew includes Spanish speakers. Hablamos español. More on our residential roofing work.
Foothill heat and winter storms
Porterville summers are long and hot, and winter storms can bring heavy rain to the foothills. Up toward Springville, roofs also see more wind and colder nights. Before the rainy season is the best time to have a roofer do a roof inspection, so loose flashing and clogged drains get fixed before they leak.
Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week, and someone is on call after hours at (661) 213-2203. Warranty length depends on the roof system, typically 20 years.

Can spray foam help a packing house or cold storage roof?

Does your crew speak Spanish?
Yes. Our crew includes Spanish speakers, so you can talk through your roof in English or Spanish.
